I like this paradigm. I've found "settlers" is where you find/place your energetic/excited more entry level sales folks who have awesome attitudes and could be your (potential) future leaders in the long haul.
Not to say experienced people can't do this, but experienced people more often drift toward the explorer or prospector "sides" in my opinion.
